Land Rover

Land Rover is a luxury SUV manufacturer that has its roots in England. Many of its vehicles are replete with the sort of leather-lined comforts that call to mind hunting lodges and high tea. Land Rovers are also known for being stellar trail-busters, endowed with the moxie to get down and dirty when the road gets rough.

Land Rover originated as one specific vehicle, originally known just as the Land Rover, launched by Rover Company in 1948, and developed into a marque encompassing a range of four-wheel-drive models, including the Defender, Discovery, Freelander, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport. Land Rovers are currently assembled in Halewood and Solihull, with research and development primarily taking place in Gaydon.

The Land Rover brand developed first as a marque, then as a separate company; now surviving is one of the longest four-wheel drive brands. Under a succession of owners, including British Leyland, British Aerospace and BMW, company developing a range of four-wheel drive capable vehicles. The company was sold by BMW to the Ford Motor Company in 2002. Ford sold its Jaguar in June 2008 and now operated as a part of Tata Motors of India.

In Pakistan Land Rover Defender and Ranger Rover are widely used. Land Rover Defender is mostly used by the Government Officers of Pakistan while Range Rover used privately. Some 4×4 Vehicle lovers also used Land Rover Defender in different Rally‚Äôs and Off-Roading.
